工艺过程是：线材出精轧机后先入水冷导管进行急冷，冷却到650～750℃，经成圈器成圈后落入流态床中。冷床下料装置将其收集成组送至输出辊道上,再由输出辊道将其送到冷剪剪切成定尺成品。流态床用流动的、导热性好的粒料(锆砂，含ZrO267.2%；SiO232.8%)作媒介，用鼓风机搅动这些颗粒呈悬浮运动状态，如同铅浴池中的铅液沸腾一样。
